💳 Switching from a failed yearly Hub payment to monthly billing

Explains how creators can switch a past-due yearly Hub subscription to monthly billing after a failed first payment.

💳 When you'll see this option

If your yearly Hub subscription's first payment failed and your account is past due, the Billing tab shows a button that lets you switch to the monthly price instead (for example, 'Switch to $49 a month').

While you're past due, your billing summary correctly shows the full yearly amount you owe (for example '$300 / yr'), not a monthly equivalent.

🔁 How to switch to monthly

  1. Go to your Billing tab and find the button offering to switch you to monthly billing. You can also get here directly from a link in your payment reminder email, which opens the confirmation dialog automatically.

  2. Click it, then confirm on the dialog that appears.

  3. Confirming charges the monthly price right away and removes any scheduled cancellation you had set.

✅ If the payment goes through

Your yearly bill is cancelled, your subscription becomes monthly from that moment, and your Hub unlocks immediately.

⚠️ If the payment is declined

Nothing changes. You stay on the yearly plan, still past due, and we keep retrying the yearly charge.

You'll be shown the reason for the decline, for example insufficient funds, an expired card, a prepaid card not being accepted, or your bank needing to approve the payment. You can try another card and switch again.

If your bank needs to approve the payment and we can't request that approval yet, try another card, or message us and we'll switch you to monthly.

💱 About the amount shown

The monthly amount shown reflects your subscription's own currency, for example $49, £49, €49, AU$90, CA$90, NZ$110, or 625 SEK. It's not converted.

If you get stuck, message us from the chat bubble and we will help.
