Setting up Margo for the first time

A quick walk-through getting Margo set up and ready to plan your first week.

When you sign in to Margo for the first time, it shows an onboarding wizard that takes about five minutes. Here is what happens at each step.

Step 1: Tell Margo about your audience

Paste your WithMe hub link (something like withme.so/yourname) or your Instagram handle. Margo reads your page and pulls out who you serve, what their biggest pain points are, and what you help them achieve. If you do not have a WithMe hub yet, you can fill in a short form instead.

Step 2: Review your audience profile

Margo shows you what it found: a description of exactly who you are for, their biggest problems, and the transformation you offer. Read through it and edit anything that is not quite right. This profile stays saved so Margo keeps using it every time you create.

Step 3: Answer two questions

Margo asks you two questions to seed your Knowledge Bank (the place where Margo stores your real stories and wins). These answers help Margo sound more like you from the very first post.

Step 4: Create your first piece

Margo drafts your first post outline based on one of your audience's pain points and your story. Review it, edit the copy if you like, and create it. This first post is free and counts toward your dashboard straight away.

After onboarding

You land on the Command Center. Margo shows you today's ideas, what is trending in your space, and a chat box where you can ask for anything. From here you can:

  • Create a single post by picking an idea and asking Margo to write it

  • Plan your whole week in one tap (Plan my week tab)

  • Explore your new Knowledge Bank and set up standing rules (Principle Bank)

  • Connect accounts if you want to auto-publish to Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok

A note on posting

Margo writes posts and puts them on your calendar, but does not push them live to social media by itself. You decide when to post them. The Content Calendar shows you each scheduled post and a caption you can copy and paste into any platform.
