Once you save a Meta Pixel ID under Settings, Integrations, Tracking Pixels, it starts tracking visitor activity automatically. You do not need to do anything else to start collecting data.

Here is what your pixel tracks:

Your pixel fires a PageView event whenever a visitor views your storefront page.

Your pixel fires a Purchase event whenever a product purchase is completed successfully.

This includes free products, so you can track signups even when no money changes hands.

Your pixel fires a Lead event whenever a visitor submits a lead capture form.

This lets you track how many people are expressing interest, not just how many are buying.

With PageView, Purchase, and Lead events all tracked, your Meta Pixel gives you a fuller picture of how visitors interact with your storefront.
