🪄 Moving and Deleting Sections in Dez

Explains how to use the pencil icon's Edit section popup to move or delete sections for free with undo support.

🪄 Moving and Deleting Sections in Dez

Building a page in Dez is never a one-shot process, you'll often want to reorder sections as your layout comes together, or remove ones that no longer fit. That's exactly what the Edit section popup is for. When you tap the pencil on any section, a popup opens for that exact section, giving you quick controls to move it up, move it down, or delete it outright. None of these actions touch your AI credits, so you're free to rearrange your page as many times as you like while you get the layout just right.

✏️ How to Move or Delete a Section

  1. Tap the pencil on the section you want to change. This opens the Edit section popup scoped to that specific section, so you never have to worry about accidentally affecting a different part of your page.

  2. In the popup, choose Move up, Move down, or Delete, depending on what you're trying to do. If you're reorganizing your content flow, the move options let you shift a section one step at a time until it lands in the right spot. If a section no longer belongs, Delete removes it in a single tap.

  3. Your page updates right away, with no page reload and no waiting. You'll see the new order or the removed section reflected instantly, so you can keep iterating without losing your place.

↩️ Undo Anytime

Mistakes happen, especially when you're moving quickly through a draft. If you move or delete a section by mistake, you can undo the action straight away to bring things back to exactly how they were. There's no need to rebuild anything by hand, undo restores the section's content and position in one step.

🆓 Always Free, With One Thing to Know

Moving and deleting sections never uses any AI credits, no matter how many times you do it. These actions are instant and free every time, so feel free to experiment with different layouts until your page feels right. The one exception to keep in mind: the first section on your page can't move up, since it's already at the top and there's nowhere higher for it to go.
