How To: Set Up a Live Stream

Learn how to set up a live class streamed from your FitWith Platform

Updated over a week ago

Going live is a great way to engage with your members and make your membership a little more personable. It's also a great way to generate more video content as these classes can be made available "on-demand" once the live time and date has passed. It's a win-win. So here's your step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Here's how you do it:

1) From your platform settings page select the '+' button in the top right corner of the page and then choose 'live' from the menu.

2) You then just need to make your way through the setup page. A few things to note:

  • The "thumbnail text overlay" will be written text over your video thumbnail and the first thing your members will see, so whilst this is optional it's definitely something to consider adding. Just keep it short and sweet!

  • When choosing your live tier, remember that the tier you choose will make the video available to all members on that tier and all those above it. For example, if you have three tiers [e.g level 1, 2, and 3] and you assign the video to level 2 it will be available to all members on a level 2 subscription and a level 3 subscription, but not those on the level 1 membership. This applies to the "live tier" and the "post-recording tier".

3) When you're ready you can then choose to schedule the date and time of the class, or go live straightaway!

A few tips

  • We recommend using a laptop for ease of use and better streaming.

  • If you are using a mobile, turn it on to airplane mode with wifi to prevent any notifications from coming through and disrupting the class.

  • During the class, members can leave comments. You'll be able to see this on the right-hand side of your screen so be sure to keep track of questions so as not to miss any. Here's 👇 an example of how it will look when you go live...
