Set-Up Success: Writing Your Bio

Convert potential clients to paying members.

Updated over a week ago

A bio is such an important element of your setup - whether it's on your WithMe platform or social media channels. It could well be what converts potential clients into paying members. So we’re highlighting 3 of the most important things to include when writing your bio to help bring about success!

1] Be concise

It's important to remember that this isn’t the place to write your life story! People want to learn who you are and what sort of content you offer to help them determine whether you’re the right fit for them.

2] Don’t be afraid to 'brag'

A good thing to include in your bio is your qualifications. Not only have you worked hard to get these, it also gives you some backing and reassures potential members that you know what you’re talking about and that it’s coming from a qualified position.

3] What they will get

Perhaps you're not officially qualified but are sharing valuable tools you've learned over the years. Either way, make sure to include what they will gain by becoming a member of your platform. Whether it be physical results, a supportive community, or a specific amount of new workouts they can try from home. Make sure you explain your value.

4] Call to action

It never hurts to sneak a CTA in, so end your bio with something like "Try my 7-day free trial" “join the team” or “start training with me today”.

The bio in practice

Amy's of ShapeitFit is a great example of an effective Instagram bio. It's concise and to the point, it's clear what they offer [and where], and includes a standout call to action so people know what to do.

And remember you can change your bio as your platform grows, and changes over the months and years. You also have your intro video as an opportunity to stress the points above. Learn how, here.
