πŸ“§ How to Add or Import your Email Contacts for Marketing

Learn how to manually add existing email contacts into WithMe for marketing purposes by utilizing a free lead capture product container.

Overview

WithMe requires every contact in your database to be linked to at least one specific product. If you want to add a standalone contact for email marketing purposes only, you can do so by creating a free lead capture product, manually adding the contact to it, and then unpublishing the product so it stays hidden from your public storefront.

Step 1: Create a Free Lead Capture Product

  1. From your dashboard, click Create New Product.

  2. Select Lead Capture as the product type.

  3. Give it a recognizable name, such as "Marketing Newsletter List".

Step 2: Manually Add Your Contacts

Because bulk CSV importing is not supported at the moment, contacts must be added to your product container individually using the manual customer portal:

  1. Navigate to the Customers section from your left sidebar menu.

  2. Click the Add Customer button located in the top-right corner.

  3. In the pop-up modal, choose Lead Capture under the Select Product Type dropdown.

  4. Pick the specific lead capture product you created in Step 1 under the Select Product dropdown.

  5. Enter the contact's Email Address.

  6. Click the blue Add Customer button at the bottom to complete the addition.

Step 3: Unpublish the Product

Since this specific product container exists only to hold your manual marketing contacts, you can hide it so it does not appear on your live public page:

  1. Return to your product dashboard and open the settings for your lead capture product.

  2. Locate the product visibility options.

  3. Toggle the status to Unpublished.

Your manually added contacts remain safely inside your global audience database and are completely available for targeted email broadcasts, but the public placeholder product container will be entirely invisible to your storefront visitors.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: Keep this backend lead capture container named descriptively, like "Manual Newsletter Contacts." This makes it incredibly easy to filter by product type whenever you are building and sending custom email marketing broadcasts later.
