You can import photos stored in Google Drive directly into your Photo Bank instead of uploading them one by one. This is faster if you have many photos already saved.
Setting up the folder
First, make sure the Google Drive folder is set to "Anyone with the link" so Margo can view it:
Right-click the folder in Google Drive and select "Share".
Change the permission to "Anyone with the link" and set it to "Viewer".
Copy the folder link.
Starting the import
In your Photo Bank, tap "Import from Google Drive". Paste the folder link and tap "Import". Margo will read the folder and show you how many photos it found.
The import process
Margo imports photos in batches so large folders do not time out. Your first batch uploads immediately. Once the first batch finishes, tap again to continue uploading the rest. You will see which photos remain.
Re-importing the same folder will add the photos again, so you may get duplicates. If you have already imported a folder, you do not need to import it again.
iPhone photos (HEIC files)
If your Google Drive folder contains photos from an iPhone, they are usually in HEIC format. Margo automatically converts HEIC photos so they can be analysed and used in your posts. No extra step needed.
What happens to imported photos
Once imported, your Google Drive photos are treated exactly like photos you uploaded directly. They are analysed for captions, mood, and content. You can search them, edit their captions, and use them in any carousel.
Your original files in Google Drive are not changed or deleted.
