The Photo Bank: using your own photos

Upload photos so Margo knows what to use and creators always control the look.

Your Photo Bank is where you upload all your own photographs. When you create a carousel or story, Margo can use these photos instead of generating new ones. This keeps your posts authentic and on-brand.

Uploading photos

Drag and drop photos onto the Photo Bank, or tap "Upload" and select multiple files at once. Margo automatically reads each photo to understand what is in it. Photos are analysed for their captions, mood, and visual content, so you can search them later.

Searching for a photo

Use the search box to find photos by what is in them. You can search for scenes ("beach", "kitchen"), moods ("bright", "cosy"), or any other detail Margo recognised in the analysis.

Editing photo captions

If Margo misread a photo (for example, the person's name) or if you want to add more detail, click the photo to edit its caption. Your edits help you find it later and let Margo pick the right photos when creating your posts.

Preferring your own photos over AI backdrops

By default, Margo generates new backgrounds for your posts. If you have plenty of photos and prefer to use your own, you can set a preference. When you turn on "Use my photos", Margo will draw from your Photo Bank instead of generating AI images.

If your Photo Bank is empty, Margo will temporarily use AI photos instead, so your posts always have backgrounds.

Deleting photos

Tap the trash icon on any photo to remove it from your Photo Bank. You can delete multiple photos at once.

Which photos are used in your posts

When you create a carousel, you can choose which photos go on which slides. You can also let Margo pick photos that match the mood and topic of each slide.
