If a post was scheduled but did not appear on your account, here are the most common reasons.
Most common: the platform was not connected
Margo emails every post it cannot auto-publish. If you scheduled a post to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or Twitter/X and do not have that platform connected, you will receive an email with the finished post at the scheduled time.
Check your email (including spam) around the time the post was due to go out. If the email is there, the post did not fail: Margo is working as designed. You can copy the text and images from the email and post them yourself.
To auto-post in future, go to Settings or Integrations and connect the platform.
The post shows "Failed"
A post marked as "Failed" had an error when Margo tried to post. Open the post in your calendar and reschedule it for a later time. Margo will try again.
Common reasons for failure:
Your account was disconnected or your login expired
The platform rejected the post (for example, an image that violates its rules)
A temporary network problem
Rescheduling usually fixes it.
How to reschedule a failed post
Open the Content Calendar
Find the post marked as "Failed"
Tap the post to open it
Pick a new date and time
Margo will retry at the new time
You can also bulk-reschedule all overdue posts at once: look for the overdue banner at the top of your calendar and tap "Reschedule all".
Instagram auto-posting is not working
If you connected your Instagram account but posts are not going out automatically, you may not be approved by Meta yet. Until Meta grants the permission to publish, Margo emails posts to you instead.
You will still receive an email with the finished post at the scheduled time. Copy it and post it yourself in the meantime. Nothing is lost while approval is pending, and you do not need to do anything to keep your schedule running.
No email arrived either
If a post was scheduled but you did not get an auto-post or an email:
Check your email spam folder
Make sure the platform and date are correct in your calendar
Check that you are signed into the right email account
If the post is still visible in your calendar but overdue, something went wrong. Reschedule it, and it should go out at the new time. If it fails again, contact support.
Posts are going out but at the wrong time
Margo schedules based on UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Make sure you picked the time you want using your local timezone, and check that the calendar is showing the correct time zone for your location.
