You can sign in with your email and password, or ask for a magic link to arrive in your inbox.
Two ways to sign in
You have two options:
Password sign-in (faster): Enter your email and password. Your account is created instantly if it does not exist yet, and you are signed in immediately.
Magic link sign-in: Enter your email and Margo will send you a link. Tap the link in your email to sign in. A 6-digit code arrives in the email as well, which you can paste in instead of opening the link.
Bouncing back to the landing page on a new device or browser?
This happens when you sign out, clear your browser data, or use an unfamiliar device. Margo cannot tell that it is you because your browser has no record of your account.
Fix: Add `?login=1` to the end of the Margo URL (so it reads `/...?login=1`). This forces the sign-in screen instead of bouncing you to the landing page. You can then sign in normally.
Requesting magic links too quickly
The magic link system is rate limited to prevent abuse. If you request a link before the previous one was used or read, the system waits 60 seconds before sending another one.
If this happens: Check your inbox and spam folder for the earlier email and use that link or code. Wait a minute, then request a new link if you still need one.
Forgot your password?
Tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen. Margo sends a reset email. Open it and set a new password. This works for accounts created with a password as well as older accounts that used magic links only.
Still stuck?
Try these steps:
Check your email spam and promotions folders for any Margo emails, including sign-in links and password resets.
Make sure you are using the exact same email address you signed up with.
If you signed out and cannot remember your password, use the magic link option instead.
If you are accessing Margo on multiple devices, you need to sign in on each one separately.
