Case Study: Soul Sisters

A look at how to launch a WithMe studio with success

Updated over a week ago

Maddy and Alex, also known as Soul Sisters, launched their online studio last month [April 2023] and it’s been incredible to see their community grow so quickly. We wanted to share some elements of their platform - some of which they launched with and others that they’ve added since - that we think have put them in good stead to grow so quickly.

The intro video

An easy going and friendly introduction to both the girls and their studio. It’s a straightforward description of who Soul Sisters are, what they do, what they offer, and what you can expect as a subscriber.

The pre-recorded classes

At the time of their launch, Souls Sisters only had about 4 or 5 pre-recorded classes that could be watched on demand. They included a mix of class types [i.e yoga, hiit, and strength] to show their variety from the beginning.

The scheduled classes

Whilst only having a handful of classes ‘ready to go’ they did also launch with a full schedule of live classes which they now change weekly. This meant subscribers could see from day 1 there was lots more to come! Publishing the schedule also helped show the variety of class types they offer and that at least one class a week is hosted by a guest teacher.

The programmes

Programmes, courses and challenges are something that we really encourage all WithMe creators to offer as it gives structure to the platform. Soul Sisters have run with this and [at the time of writing] are running a 6 week summer programme. Making it more ‘seasonal’ means the content is fresh, up-to-date and more motivating for subscribers. This doesn’t have to be a feature you launch with but it’s a good one to add after a few months as your community grows.

The type of content

One of the strong points of the Soul Sisters studio and why they’ve had such success since their launch is the variety of content they share. An online platform with WithMe enables you to share videos, of course, but also recipe ebooks, written fitness plans, audio, and more! Soul Sisters subscribers now have access to live and on-demand classes [covering yoga, HIIT, pilates, strength training, and barre], weekly guest teachers, and a 35-page recipe ebook as part of their summer programme.

The social promo

Away from their WithMe platform, Maddy and Alex also worked hard in promoting their online studio on socials. They set up a waitlist and by announcing this ahead of their launch got 300 people to sign up, providing them with a coupon to use when they subscribed. This put Soul Sisters in such a strong position for their launch day as they could market directly to this group of people - their key audience. When they launched 10% of their waitlist converted to paying subscribers.

The stats

Pre-launch to launch day = 10% waitlist conversion to paying subscribers

Today = have helped over 600 people and this is continuing to grow
