How to Connect iDEAL Payments with WithMe
Good news for our users in the Netherlands! You can now accept payments via iDEAL directly in your WithMe store. Here's everything you need to know to get set up!
A few things to keep in mind:
iDEAL is only available to customers located in the Netherlands.
Your WithMe store’s currency must be set to Euros to use iDEAL.
Ready to get started? Follow the steps below to connect iDEAL to your WithMe store!
Step 1: Connect to Stripe
To use iDEAL, you’ll need to connect your Stripe Custom account through the WithMe dashboard. Here’s how:
Log in to WithMe and click on Settings in the bottom left corner.
Select Payments from the top navigation menu.
Click on the Manage Account button next to Stripe.
Once you click Manage Account, a pop-up window will prompt you to sign into your Stripe Custom account.
Step 2: Update Your Stripe Account Details
Once logged into Stripe via WithMe, you'll be able to edit your public details, personal information, payout settings, and more.
To make any changes, simply click the pencil icon to update your payout details successfully.
Important Reminder: You cannot manage your WithMe Stripe account directly via connect.stripe.com or the Stripe mobile app. You must log in through the WithMe dashboard to make updates.
Step 3: Set Your Store Currency to Euros
Now that your Stripe account is connected, make sure your store currency is set to Euros. This is essential for enabling iDEAL payments.
To do this:
Go back to Manage Stripe in your WithMe dashboard.
Log in to your Stripe account.
Double-check that your currency is set to Euros and that all other information is accurate and up-to-date.
Step 4: Verify iDEAL is Active
After you've completed all the steps above, check your live WithMe store checkout. You should now see iDEAL as an available payment method, but remember:
iDEAL will only appear in the checkout if you’re located in the Netherlands.
