📬 The Short Answer
Yes! You can email your contacts straight from WithMe with the built-in Email Marketing tool. You can send broadcasts and timed sequence emails to the people on your lists. 🎉
Leads you import from a CSV file are marked as cold contacts. That is why it pays to only add people who agreed to hear from you.
🚀 How to Get Started
On a computer, click More in the sidebar.
Turn on Email Marketing to add it to your menu.
Click Email Marketing to open the tool.
On a phone, you will find Email Marketing under More.
📋 Adding Contacts with a CSV File
You can bulk-add customers or leads yourself, right in your dashboard. Go to Customers, select Add Customer and choose Upload CSV. The other mode, Single email, is for adding one person.
Your CSV file needs one column of email addresses. For lead captures, you can also add an optional name column. The file can be up to 2 MB.
You can add contacts to one of your existing products or to your default lead list (Default Lead Capture). Some products can't be imported into this way, and you will see an error if you try. CSV import can't be used to gift direct messages.
Before you import, tick the box to confirm the addresses belong to real people who agreed to get emails from you. Bought, scraped, old or made-up addresses bounce, get marked as spam, damage your sending reputation and can get your email sending blocked.
✅ Check and Import Your File
Click Choose CSV file and pick your file.
Click Check file. A preview shows how many will be added, how many already have an account, how many already have the product or are already invited (skipped), how many addresses are invalid (skipped) and how many duplicates were removed.
Click Import. The button shows how many contacts will be added.
You see progress while it runs. When it finishes, a result screen shows how many were added, invited, skipped or failed. If the import stops part way, the result screen tells you.
There are a couple of limits. Each upload has a maximum number of email addresses. If you go over it, an error shows your count and the limit. There is also a daily limit on how many customers you can add to products, and the error tells you how many more you can add that day.
Contacts marked as invited get access automatically once they sign up for an account. Customers you add to a product are emailed to let them know they have access. People added only to a lead capture don't get that same access email.
📊 Keeping Your Delivery Health Strong
In Email Marketing, Delivery health shows how many emails you sent, how many bounced and how many were marked as spam over recent days. Each rate has a warning level and a blocked level. If you cross the warning level, you are told there so you can fix it. If you cross the limit, sending stops until it is sorted.
Each person gets at most one broadcast or timed sequence email from you a day. Large broadcasts go out in batches, starting with a small trial batch, and each batch is checked before the next one goes out.
Fewer bounces
Only email addresses people gave you themselves. Bought, scraped or swapped lists are mostly dead addresses and can take you over the limit on your first send.
Importing an old list? Send to the people who heard from you most recently first, then build up. Addresses go stale at roughly 2% a month.
If an address bounces, it stops being mailed automatically. Don't add it back by re-importing the same list.
Fewer spam complaints
Say what people are signing up for, then send that. Most complaints come from someone who doesn't recognise you.
Keep a steady rhythm. Going quiet for months and then sending a big broadcast causes more complaints than emailing regularly.
Make unsubscribing easy to find. Someone who can't see how to leave marks your email as spam instead, and that counts against you far more than an unsubscribe.
The complaint limit is far lower than the bounce limit. Roughly one complaint in a thousand emails is enough to matter, so a single bad send is worth avoiding. 💪
