It’s where your members connect, share, and feel part of something bigger. Managing your communities effectively helps you keep engagement alive, conversations flowing, and your hub buzzing with excitement β€” not just a dead space where people join and forget about it.

🧩 Getting Started with Your Community

πŸ–ŠοΈ How to Edit a Community

  1. Go to My Hub.

  2. Next to your community, click Edit.

  3. Update the name, description, access type, or price as needed.

  4. Click Save Community to publish changes.


βž• How Many Communities Can I Have?

You can create unlimited communities β€” free, paid, or product-specific.


πŸ”— How to Share a Community Link

Inside the community, locate your community name and description.
Click Invite to copy the shareable link and send it to your audience.


🧭 Setting the Tone: Rules & Guidelines

Creating community guidelines helps you maintain a fun, safe, and respectful space for everyone.

  1. Go to My Hub.

  2. Find the community you want to edit.

  3. Click the three dots (β‹―) next to its name.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. In the Description box, write a Community Guidelines section tailored to your needs.

    • Example: β€œBe kind. No offensive or abusive language. Respect everyone.”

  6. Under the Options tab, click Save Community to publish.

βœ… Pro Tip: Your guidelines remain visible to all members β€” ensuring fairness and transparency in your community.


πŸ—‚οΈ Keeping It Organized: Category Threads

πŸ“ How to Create Category Threads

Use categories to organize posts into sections like:

  • πŸ‘‹ Introductions & Instructions

  • πŸ“’ Announcements

  • ❓ Q&A

  • πŸŽ‰ Upcoming Events

To create categories:

  1. Go to My Hub β†’ Community.

  2. Select the community you want to organize.

  3. In the Create a Community Post section, look for the Category dropdown.

  4. Click All Categories β†’ + New Category.

  5. Enter a short, descriptive name (max 30 characters).

  6. Create as many as you want.

  7. When posting, select the category β€” your post will appear under both All and that category.

This keeps your community neat and easy to navigate.


✏️ Edit or Delete a Category Thread

  • Edit: Click the category dropdown β†’ ✏️ pencil icon β†’ edit name β†’ Save.

  • Delete: Click Delete in the edit box.

    The category will disappear, but its posts will stay under All.


πŸ“Œ Highlight Important Content: Pinning Posts

Pinned posts keep key information at the top of your community feed β€” perfect for rules, updates, or special announcements.

To pin a post:

  1. Click the three dots (β‹―) on the post.

  2. Select Pin.

You can:

  • Pin 1 post per community, and

  • 1 post per category as well.

All pinned posts also appear at the top of the All category.


πŸŽ₯ Make It Engaging: Media & Events

πŸ“Έ Supported Media Types

WithMe communities now support all major media β€” images, videos, PDFs, and more.
Members can comment, react, and even create posts (if they have access permissions).

πŸ—“οΈ Add Events with the Calendar Feature

Keep your members updated with community events β€” webinars, lives, or meetups!

  1. Locate the Upcoming Events section in the lower-right corner.

  2. Click the Calendar icon to view events or Add Event.

  3. Choose your event platform β€” Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or WithMe Live.

  4. Paste your meeting link, set the time (in UTC), and click Add Meeting.

  5. A post will appear β€” click Submit Post to publish.

βœ… This automatically:

  • Adds the event to your Upcoming Events list

  • Marks it in the Calendar view

  • Creates a new Upcoming Events category

  • Lets members add it to their Google Calendar


πŸ”’ Managing Access & Moderation

πŸ•΅οΈ How to Make a Community Private

Until our Private Community feature officially launches, here’s a workaround:

  1. Create a new community.

  2. Set a high price to prevent public sign-ups.

  3. Add your selected members manually through the Customers tab.

  4. Add this note in your description:

    β€œInvite-only community. Please do not purchase access β€” requests will be declined.”

  5. If someone joins by mistake, remove their access manually.

🚫 How to Remove Comments or Posts

If a member posts something against your guidelines:

  1. Open the post.

  2. Click the three dots (β‹―).

  3. Select Delete.

⚠️ Note: This action is permanent β€” double-check before deleting.


🧹 How to Delete a Community

On My Hub, click Delete next to the community name.
⚠️ This action cannot be undone.
