A free subscription tier is a smart way to welcome new members into your hub without asking them to pay upfront. It lets people explore your Free membership content, understand how your hub works, and get comfortable with your style before committing to a paid membership.
On WithMe, free membership tiers work as long-term lead magnets. They help you collect emails, nurture relationships over time, and gradually guide members toward your paid plans or products— without pressure or friction.
Create a Free Subscription Tier
New setup:
Go to My Hub
Click + Add Product
Select Memberships
Fill in tier details: More details
Click on "Options" Tab and locate "Convert users with a Free Tiers"
Expand the dropdown and toggle the Free tier On
Publish Tier
If you already have tiers:
Go to My Hub → Locate the any membership product
Click on 3 dots (⋯) to Edit an existing tier
Click on "Options" Tab and locate "Convert users with a Free Tiers"
Expand the dropdown and toggle the Free tier On
Click on "Update Tier"
This won’t affect your paid tiers.
Important Notes About Free Subscription Tiers
A free subscription tier cannot exist on its own. You can only enable a free tier while creating a paid one or if you already have at least one paid membership tier.
If you don’t plan to actively sell a paid membership yet, you can still:
Create a paid tier
Unpublish it so it does not appear on your hub
Enable the free tier alongside it
The free membership tier is not customisable by default. This means:
No custom landing page
No custom tier name
No custom button text
No thumbnail upload
The free tier works as a system-enabled setting, designed to reduce friction and make joining easy.
