Want to set up a waitlist before you officially launch? This article helps you set-up you waitlist product, collect member emails, hide unfinished products, and start building demand and an audience in advance.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Not ready to launch yet? Still building your products behind the scenes?

You can start growing your audience before your official launch by using the Lead Capture product to create a simple waitlist.

This allows interested members to leave their email so you can notify them when your products go live.

A waitlist helps you:

  • Build an audience before launching

  • Collect emails from interested members

  • Generate early excitement

  • Launch with people already waiting

🚨 Important: When Your Hub Becomes Public

Your hub automatically becomes public once you complete Set Up Your Payouts by connecting your Stripe account.

If you're not ready to show your products yet, you can keep them unpublished while using a waitlist to collect emails.

🎯 What Is a Waitlist on WithMe?

On WithMe, a waitlist is created using a Lead Capture product.

A Lead Capture product allows you to:

  • Collect member emails

  • Display a short message about your upcoming launch

  • Build your customer list before selling

Members who sign up will be stored in your Customers tab, so you can notify them when you launch.

🛠 Step 1: Create a Lead Capture Product

  1. Go to My Hub

  2. Click + Add Product

  3. Select Lead Capture

This product will act as your waitlist.

Example Product Title

You can name it something simple like:

  • Join My Waitlist

  • Early Access Waitlist

  • Get Notified When We Launch

  • VIP Early Access

This is what visitors will see when they open your hub.

✍️ Step 2: Enable Email Capture Fields

The Lead Capture product collects member information.

By default, members enter their:

  • Email address

You can also enable optional fields using toggles:

  • Name

  • A custom field of your choice (for example: Instagram handle, interests, etc.)

This helps you learn more about your audience before launch.

📝 Step 3: Write Your Waitlist Description

Lead Capture products include a short description field (200 characters).

Use this to quickly explain what you're building and why people should join.

Example

"Something exciting is coming soon! 🎉
Join the waitlist to be the first to know when we launch and get early access."

Keep it short and clear so visitors immediately understand the value.

🙈 Step 4: Keep Your Products Unpublished

While you're preparing your launch, you can continue building your other products in unpublished mode.

Unpublished products:

  • Stay hidden from visitors

  • Can be edited and built in the background

  • Won’t appear on your hub yet

During this time, your Lead Capture waitlist can continue collecting emails.

🔗 Step 5: Share Your Hub Link

To grow your waitlist, simply share your hub link.

When people open your hub:

  • They will only see published products

  • If your Lead Capture product is the only one published, they will see your waitlist

Visitors can then enter their email to join.

You can share your hub link in:

  • Instagram or TikTok bio

  • Stories or posts

  • Email newsletters

  • Direct messages

🚀 What Happens When Someone Joins the Waitlist?

When someone signs up:

  1. They enter their email (and any enabled fields)

  2. Their information is saved in your Customers tab

  3. You now have their contact details to notify them when you launch

💡 Why Using a Waitlist Is Powerful

Creating a waitlist allows you to:

✔ Build demand before launching
✔ Collect emails from interested members
✔ Prepare your products privately
✔ Launch to an audience that's already excited

Instead of launching to an empty hub, you’ll launch with people already waiting.
