π How to Change a Customer's Billing Date
π‘ The Short Answer
We totally get it β sometimes a customer asks if they can move their billing date to better align with their payday or budget. It's a completely reasonable request! Unfortunately, WithMe doesn't currently support changing a subscription's billing date directly. The billing date is set automatically when a customer first subscribes, and it renews on that same date each month.
Don't worry β we've got you! There's a simple workaround that gets the job done. π
π€ Why Can't Billing Dates Be Changed?
WithMe subscriptions are managed through Stripe, which locks the billing cycle to the original sign-up date. This keeps things consistent and prevents any accidental charges or gaps in access for your customers. It also means your revenue reporting stays clean and predictable β no weird mid-cycle adjustments to worry about!
π Note:
This is a platform-wide limitation, not something specific to your account. No creator on WithMe can manually adjust billing dates β so you're not missing a hidden setting somewhere!
β The Recommended Workaround: Cancel & Rejoin
The easiest way to shift a customer's billing date is to have them cancel their current subscription and re-subscribe on their preferred date. Here's exactly how to walk them through it:

Option 1:
Step 1: Cancel the Existing Subscription

Step 2: Wait for the Right Date
Once the current billing period ends, your customer simply needs to wait until their preferred new billing date arrives.
π Note:
Your customer will lose access once their current period expires. Give them a heads-up so they're not caught off guard!
Step 3: Re-Subscribe on the New Date
On their chosen date, your customer visits your WithMe hub again.
They select the subscription tier they were on (or a new one β upsell opportunity! π).
They complete the checkout as normal.
Their new billing date is now locked to this date going forward! β
π Note: If the creator has increased the price tey'll now have to pay updated price as the old lower price is no more locked to their membership.

Contact support team here at WithMe , we'll manually adjust thier billing cycle within seconds.
π Note:
Cycle adjustment may mean a few extra free days so take that into consideration before requesting adjustment from the backend
π¬ What to Tell Your Customer

"Hey! Unfortunately we can't change billing dates directly, but here's a quick fix: cancel your current subscription, wait until your preferred billing date, and then re-subscribe. You'll keep full access until your current period ends, and your new billing date will be set from the day you rejoin. Easy as that!"
π Note:
If your customer is on a free trial, the same process applies β but remind them that cancelling during a trial means they'll lose the remaining trial days. They may want to wait until the trial ends first!
