📦 How to Make Individual Files Downloadable Inside a Course
Want to let your audience download a specific file — like a PDF worksheet, checklist, or resource guide — from inside one of your course lessons? 🙌
By default, WithMe's download feature applies to an entire course as a single download. But don't worry — there's a simple workaround that lets you offer individual file downloads right where your students need them!
The trick? Use a Digital Product as a delivery wrapper, then bundle it with your course. Let's walk through it step by step. 👇
🛠️ Step 1: Create a Digital Product for Your File
First, you'll create a standalone Digital Product that contains the file you want to make downloadable.
Go to your WithMe Dashboard and click "+Add Products".
Choose Digital Product.
Give it a clear name (e.g., "Week 1 Worksheet — PDF Download").
Upload the file you want your students to be able to download (PDF, spreadsheet, template, etc.).
Set the price to "Bundle Digital Product" and select the Course it should be accessible with
✅ Step 2: Publish the Digital Product
This step is crucial! Your Digital Product must be Published — no need to Draft or Unpublish — the bundled Digital Products are by default not listed on your hub's home page (They will only appear if you've enabled free or paid settings along with bundle to make them available as a standalone product for separate purchase).
🔗 Step 3: Post It Within Your Course & Add the Link for direct navigation
Now let's connect everything so your students can grab the download right from inside their lesson! 🎉
Go to your Digital Product and copy its Landing Page Link. You'll find this on the "My Hub" page after clicking on 3 dots to open the settings dropdown.
Navigate to the Course Lesson where you want the download to appear.
In the lesson editor, add a link in the lesson description or standalone text lesson using the Landing Page Link you just copied.
Add some friendly text like: "Click here to download your worksheet 📥"
When your students click the link, they'll land on the Digital Product page where they can download the file directly — seamless and simple! ✨
💡 Tips & Best Practices
Name your Digital Products clearly — something like "Module 3 Workbook" makes it easy to manage as your library grows.
One Digital Product per file — if you have multiple downloadable resources, create a separate Digital Product for each one.
Always use "Landing Page Link" — this is the current terminology in WithMe. If you see older references to "sales page link," it's the same thing! 😊
Test the flow yourself — click through the link from your lesson to make sure the download experience is smooth for your audience.
