π° How to Set Up Variable Pricing for a Group or Community
Want to charge different clients different prices for your group program or community? Maybe you offer sliding-scale pricing, VIP tiers, or custom packages that bundle coaching with community access. Great news β WithMe has a native way to do this, no outside billing required! π
π€ Why Communities Have Fixed Pricing
If you've already explored WithMe's Community product, you'll know it comes with a single set price. That's perfect for straightforward memberships β but it doesn't work when you need to charge each client a different amount.
The solution? Create a Coaching product with the Application feature enabled, then bundle it with your Community. This gives you full control over per-client pricing while still granting automatic community access. Let's walk through it! π
π οΈ Step 1: Create a Coaching Product with Applications
The Coaching product type is your secret weapon here β it lets you set a unique price for every single client.
From your WithMe dashboard, go to My Hub and click + Add Products.
Select 1:1 Coaching as the product type.
Give it a name that reflects your offering (e.g., "1:1 Coaching + Community Bundle").
Enable the Application feature to ON. This is the key step β it allows you to review each applicant and assign them a custom price before they pay.

Hit Save. β
π Note:
When Applications are enabled, clients fill out an application form instead of paying immediately. You then approve them and set their individual price β perfect for variable or negotiated pricing!
π¦ Step 2: Bundle It with Your Community
Now let's make sure your clients automatically get community access when they purchase.
Go to your Coaching product's settings.
Find the "Product included" section under "options" tab.
Select your existing Community product from the dropdown.
Save your changes.
That's it! When a client is approved and pays their custom price for the Coaching product, they'll automatically gain access to the bundled Community too. No extra steps for you or your clients. π
π Step 3: Approve Applicants and Set Custom Prices
Here's where the magic happens:
When a new client applies, youβll receive an email notification.
Review their application in My Hub β Coaching β Applications tab.
Select the applicant you want to view.
Discuss the scope and pricing with the member, then adjust the product price accordingly and enable payment. This can be any amount you choose, and the member will be locked in at that price.Approve the application.
The client will receive a payment link with their personalized price.Once payment is completed, the client gets instant access to both the Coaching product and the bundled Community.
Repeat the process for each new applicant.
