πŸ”§ Troubleshooting: Course Content Missing After Saving

You built your course, hit save, and now some of your content has vanished? 😱 Don't panic β€” this is almost always fixable! Let's walk through exactly what to check and how to get your content back.

βœ… Step 1: Confirm Your Content Was Published

The most common reason content appears "missing" is that it was saved as a draft but never published. WithMe separates saving from publishing β€” so your edits can be saved without being visible to your members.

  1. Go to your Creator Dashboard and open your Courses.

  2. Click on the course where content is missing.

  3. Open the lesson in question and check whether it's currently in Draft or Published mode.

  4. If it's in Draft, publish it to make it live for your members.

🧹 Step 2: Clear Your Browser Cache

Sometimes your browser holds onto an older version of the page. A stale cache can make it look like content disappeared even though it's saved on our end.

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to do a hard refresh.

  2. If the content still isn't showing, clear your browser cache entirely: go to your browser's settings β†’ clear browsing data β†’ select "Cached images and files" β†’ clear.

  3. Reload the page and check your lesson again.

🌐 Step 3: Check Your Browser Compatibility

WithMe works best on up-to-date versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. If you're using an outdated browser, content may not save or display correctly.

  1. Make sure your browser is updated to the latest version.

  2. Disable any browser extensions (especially ad blockers or privacy tools) that might block save requests β€” or try a different browser to see if the issue persists.

πŸ” Step 4: Check for Known Edge Cases

A few specific scenarios can cause content to appear missing:

  1. Unstable internet connection: If your connection drops mid-save, the save may look successful on-screen but fail to reach our servers. After saving, refresh the page to confirm the content persisted.

  2. Editing in multiple tabs: If you have the same lesson open in two browser tabs, the second tab can overwrite changes from the first. Always edit a lesson in a single tab.

  3. Large media files: Very large video or image uploads may time out silently. If a media file doesn't appear after saving, try re-uploading a smaller file β€” or reach out to us if uploads keep failing.
