πŸ”§ Troubleshooting: Product Won't Publish (Spinning or Loading Forever)

Cannot hit the publish button ? Publish button is greyed out? Don't worry β€” we've got you! This is usually a quick fix once you know where to look. Let's walk through the most common causes and get your product live. πŸš€

βœ… Step 1: Check for Missing Required Fields

The most common reason a product gets stuck on publish is a missing required field. WithMe needs a few key details before your product can go live:

  • Product title β€” every product needs a name!

  • Description β€” even a short one will do

  • Cover image β€” this is the image your audience sees first

  • Pricing β€” you need at least one price option set (even if it's free)

  • At least one module or lesson β€” your product needs some content to publish

Head back into your product editor and make sure each of these is filled in. If any field is highlighted in red or has a warning icon, that's your culprit! 🎯

πŸ–ΌοΈ Step 2: Check Your Cover Image Size

Large image files can cause the publish process to hang. For best results:

  • Keep your cover image under 5 MB

  • Use JPEG or PNG format

  • Recommended dimensions: 1280 Γ— 720 px (16:9 ratio)

If your image is too large, try compressing it with a free tool like TinyPNG or Squoosh, then re-upload it and try publishing again.

πŸ› οΈ Step 3: Quick Fixes If It's Still Stuck

Tried everything above and still spinning? Here are a few more things to try:

  1. Hard refresh your browser β€” press Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows)

  2. Clear your browser cache β€” sometimes old cached data causes conflicts

  3. Try a different browser β€” Chrome and Safari work best with WithMe

  4. Log out and log back in β€” this resets your session and can clear temporary glitches

  5. Check your internet connection β€” a weak or unstable connection can interrupt the publish process

Note: If you were able to publish but the page keeps loading indefinitely, try logging out and logging back in to refresh the session. You can also clear your cache and check your internet connection.
