Why the App and Browser Can Look Different
If you have noticed a feature on the WithMe website that does not appear in your iOS or Android app, do not worry, your account is working correctly. The web version at withme.so receives updates instantly, while the mobile app goes through a separate release cycle. This means new features, tabs, and layout changes appear on the web first before reaching the app.
This is not a bug or an account issue. It is simply how mobile app distribution works across Apple's App Store and Google Play.
How App Update Cycles Work
Here's why the app can lag behind the browser experience:
WithMe releases a new feature or design change to the web platform — this goes live immediately.
The development team packages those changes into a new app version and submits it for review.
Apple and Google review the update, which can take anywhere from a few hours to several days.
Once approved, the update becomes available — but your device still needs to download it.
Because of this pipeline, there's typically a short window where new features exist on the web but haven't yet reached the app.
What to Do If a Feature Is Missing in the App
If you can't find something in your app that you've seen mentioned or that appears on the web version, try these steps:
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), search for "WithMe," and tap Update if one is available. If you only see an Open button, your app is already on the latest version.
If no update is available yet, open your mobile browser (Safari or Chrome) and navigate to withme.so. You'll see the standard login page — enter your usual credentials.
Once logged in, you'll have full access to every feature, including newly released ones. To save this for easy future access, tap your browser's Share menu and select Add to Home Screen — this creates an app-like icon on your device.

Features That May Appear on Web First
The following types of updates typically reach the web before the app:
