📧 Activating Your Custom Sending Domain

Learn how to activate your custom sending domain once its DNS records are detected, so your emails send from your own domain instead of the shared one.

📧 What changes once your DNS records are found

When you add a custom sending domain, you need to add some DNS records with your domain provider. Once all the required DNS records for your domain have been detected, the status next to your domain changes from "Waiting for DNS" to "Needs activating".

This means your records are all in place, but your domain is not verified yet. You still need to take one more step before it can be used.

🚀 How to activate your domain

  1. Go to your sending domain settings and find the domain showing "Needs activating".

  2. Click Activate. This asks the email system to verify your domain. Adding the DNS records alone is not enough, you have to click this button.

  3. While verification is running, the button shows Activating…. This can take a little while, so give it some time.

✅ When your domain goes live

Once verification finishes successfully, your domain is shown as "In use" for outgoing email. From that point on, your emails send from your own custom domain.

Until verification is complete, your emails keep sending from the platform's shared domain, so your outgoing mail is not interrupted while you wait.
