🛍️ How Order Bumps Work at Checkout for Your Customers

Explains how buyers see, add, and get charged for an order bump offer at checkout.

🛒 Seeing an Order Bump at Checkout

When a creator has set up an order bump on a product, you will see it appear on the checkout page while you are buying that product.

The order bump appears on the checkout page as a card with a checkbox you can select, showing a call to action and the price for the extra product. Any offered discount is shown with the price. If the creator has added them, you may also see a headline and description.

✅ Adding the Order Bump to Your Order

  1. Review the order bump offer shown on the checkout page.

  2. Select the checkbox or button for the order bump if you want to add it to your order.

  3. Watch your order total update automatically to include the discounted price of the bump product.

  4. Complete your checkout as normal.

⚡ What Happens After You Accept

If you accept the order bump, you are charged for the bump product. If your main product is paid, this charge is added to your original purchase. If your main product is free, only the bump is charged and the free product is still given to you for free. Either way, you get access to the bump product right away.

This works whether the bump product is a one-time purchase or a recurring product, such as a membership or community.

Order bumps are not currently available on free 1:1 coaching calls, lead capture products or link products.

An order bump offer is always one of the creator's own enabled products, and you will not see a bump for a product you already own.

If the card payment for the bump fails, nothing is unlocked. You can untick the bump to claim the free product for free, or try another card.

If you leave the bump unticked, claiming a free product works exactly as before, you do not need to enter any card details.
