📧 Sending a Test Email for a Broadcast

How to send yourself a test copy of a broadcast before it goes out to customers — quick, easy, and risk-free! 🎉

Want to make sure your broadcast looks amazing before it lands in customers' inboxes? Sending a test email is the easiest way to double-check everything, and it only takes a second! 🎉

✨ What a test send does

Before you send a broadcast to your customers, you can send yourself a test copy first. This lets you see exactly how the email will look before anyone else does, no surprises!

Your test lands in the email address on your account, and the subject line gets [TEST] added right at the start, so it's easy to spot in your inbox.

Best part? Test sends never go to your customers and they don't affect your delivery stats at all. Test away without any worry! 🙌

🚀 How to send a test

  1. Open the broadcast you want to test and make sure it has a subject and some content ready to go. The Send test button stays disabled until both are filled in, so you know you're all set.

  2. Select Send test, easy!

  3. Check the inbox for the email address on your account. Your test copy will arrive with [TEST] at the start of the subject, ready for your review.

🤔 Why a test might not send

Every once in a while, a test won't go out, here's what to check:

⏸️ Sending is paused

If sending is paused on your account, a test can't go out. Head to the Sending domain tab to see what's going on there.

📭 No email address on file

If your account doesn't have an email address set, there's nowhere for the test to go, so it can't be sent. Add one and you'll be good to go!

💳 Payment past due

If your subscription payment is past due, you'll need to update your payment method before you can send any emails, including tests.
