📋 How Audience and Send Limits Apply to Scheduled Broadcasts

Explains that audience re-checks and sending limits still apply to scheduled broadcasts, with the fabricated numeric example removed.

📋 Your audience is checked again at send time

Scheduling a broadcast for later is a great way to plan ahead, but it's worth knowing exactly how it works under the hood so your results aren't a surprise.

When you schedule a broadcast, your recipient audience is not locked in at the moment you hit schedule.

Your audience and any exclusions are re-checked when sending actually starts. This means the people who receive your broadcast may be different from the list you saw when you scheduled it, if your audience has changed in the meantime.

🚦 Sending limits still apply

Scheduled broadcasts follow the same sending limits as broadcasts sent right away, so you can schedule with confidence knowing the same protections are in place.

Each recipient can only get one broadcast or timed sequence email from you per day. If a recipient has already received another email from you that day, they will not receive your scheduled broadcast as well.

Addresses that have unsubscribed or that cannot receive email will also be skipped, even if they were on your audience list when you scheduled the send.

⏱️ Sending may take a little time

Your broadcast starts sending after your selected date and time, but it is not guaranteed to go out at the exact instant you chose.

Delivery can take a bit longer because of sending limits and the normal pace at which the system processes scheduled sends. This is expected, so don't worry if your broadcast doesn't land the second your scheduled time arrives, it's on its way!

✅ What this means for you

Think of your scheduled time as when sending begins, not a guaranteed delivery instant. Your final audience and the exact delivery timing are confirmed once sending is underway.

Scheduling ahead is still one of the easiest ways to get your message out at the right moment, so keep using it with confidence, just remember these checks happen automatically behind the scenes.
