AutoDMs let you automatically send a direct message to anyone who comments a keyword on your posts, turning engagement into conversations without any manual work. AutoDMs is available to every creator by default — you don't need to request access to use it.
🔗 Supported Connections
Instagram is currently the only platform you can connect to create a new AutoDM automation.
Connecting a Facebook Page for new automations is no longer available in setup.
If you already had a Facebook automation running before this change, it keeps working as normal — you just can't create new Facebook automations going forward.
🔧 Steps to Set It Up:
Go to "AutoDMs"
From the left-hand menu on your dashboard.Click "Connect Instagram" and log in to link your Instagram account.
Choose the post (or posts) that should trigger the automation.
Set the keyword members need to comment to receive the DM.
Write the message you'd like sent automatically, then activate the automation.
📌 A Note on Facebook
Facebook Page connections have been removed from the AutoDMs setup flow. If you connected a Facebook Page before this change, that automation keeps running exactly as before — there's just no way to create a new one. To set up a new automation, connect Instagram instead.
