💡 Best Practices for Stripe Setup

📧 Email Address Recommendation:

For best and easiest Stripe acceptance use the email address that you've used on your WithMe hub as your Stripe connected email address.

⏱️ Account Review Process

⚠️ Important: It can take 24 hours for Stripe to review your account meaning you might still be shown a yellow banner notification. However your account will be able to be used while the review is in place.

📧 Need Assistance?

If you're unable to make these changes or need further assistance:

  • Contact WithMe Support:

    • Provide the following information:

      • Business Type Structure

      • Legal Business Name

      • EIN or TIN

      • Supporting Documents (e.g., SS4 form for EIN verification)

The WithMe support team will liaise with Stripe on your behalf to update your business information.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • EIN vs. SSN:

    • If you're a U.S.-based business, you can use your EIN instead of your SSN when setting up Stripe. Ensure your Stripe account is set up as a Company rather than an Individual to use your EIN. Documentation

  • Verification Process:

    • After updating your business information, Stripe may require re-verification.

    • If verification fails, ensure that the information matches exactly with IRS records.

    • For discrepancies, consider obtaining a 147C letter from the IRS, which confirms their records.
