How to Migrate Your Community to WithMe

Do you have an existing Community hosted on another platform that you'd like to move to WithMe? No problem! This article explores the two options for you to bring your audience over and get your Community started! 🎉

Moving your community to WithMe is simple! You have three options depending on how you want to bring in your members:

  1. Share a Community Link – invite your members to join directly.

  2. Import Members via CSV – let us do the import for you.

  3. Done-for-You Migration – let us handle the entire migration for you.

Option 1: Share Your Community Link

This is the fastest way to get your existing members into WithMe.

  1. Create your community

  2. Copy your community link

    • Once your community is created, click the Copy Link button.

  3. Share with your members

    • Post the link in your existing group or send it directly to your members.

    • Ask them to join your new WithMe community.

💡 Pro Tip:
If your community is paid, set it to free temporarily while your existing members join. Once everyone has migrated, you can update the price and add a paywall before promoting it to new external members.

Option 2: Import Members via CSV

If you already have your member list in a CSV file, we'll help import them for you.

  1. Download your member CSV

    • Export the CSV file from your previous platform.

  2. Prepare your WithMe community

  3. Send us the CSV

  4. We'll handle the import

    • Once completed, we'll send you a CSV containing:

      • Member emails

      • Temporary passwords

      • Once the import is complete you'll be able to see the members in your customers tab

  5. Share access with your members

    • Share the password with your members by email.

    • They can log in with the temporary password and update it, or simply use Forgot Password to set a new one.

Option 3: Done-for-You Migration

Which option should I choose?

  • Use Option 1 (Community Link) if you want members to sign up themselves.

  • Use Option 2 (CSV Import) if you already have a large member list and want us to migrate them in bulk.

  • Use Option 3 (Done-for-You Migration) if you'd like WithMe to manage the entire migration for you.
