🎬 How to Securely Use Third-Party Video Content on WithMe

Got a library of videos on Vimeo or YouTube that you want to use in your WithMe products? You're not alone! Many creators start with external video platforms before moving to WithMe. Let's walk through your options for keeping your content secure and your audience happy πŸ”’

⚠️ Why External Video Links Aren't Secure

Here's the thing β€” if you simply paste a public Vimeo or YouTube link into your WithMe product, anyone with that link can access your content for free. That means your paying members could share links, and non-members could watch without subscribing. Not ideal when you've worked hard to create premium content! 😬

Even unlisted YouTube or Vimeo links can be shared freely β€” "unlisted" just means they won't show up in search, but anyone with the URL can still view them.

βœ… Option 1: Upload Natively to WithMe (Recommended)

The most secure option is uploading your videos directly to WithMe. Native videos are fully protected behind your paywall β€” only paying members can access them! πŸŽ‰

  1. Head to your Product in the WithMe dashboard

  2. Click into the lesson or module where you want to add video

  3. Use the Upload Video button to upload your file directly

  4. WithMe handles hosting, streaming, and security automatically
