What Is a Custom Domain?
By default, your WithMe hub lives at withme.so/yourname. A custom domain replaces that with your own URL — for example, yourdomain.com.
Connecting a custom domain is engineering work. It requires an annual subscription. The checkbox on the request form to start annual is required, not optional. You are not paying an extra domain fee — you are switching to annual. Monthly subscribers keep withme.so/yourname until they go annual. You still purchase the domain name itself (typically £10–15/year from a registrar like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains).
Setup Checklist ✅
Follow these steps in order to get your custom domain live:
Be on annual — Custom domain setup is engineering work and needs an annual subscription. The annual checkbox on the form is required.
Buy your domain — Use GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains. Choose a .com or .co for best brand recognition. Note: subdomains (e.g., shop.yoursite.com) are not supported — use the main domain.
Submit your domain in WithMe — Go to Dashboard → More → Custom Domain, check the annual box, and submit your domain name via the request form.
Receive your DNS records — Within 1 business day, WithMe will email you 4 nameserver (NS) records. Check your spam folder if you don't see them.
Update your nameservers — Log into your domain registrar, find DNS / Nameserver settings, delete your existing nameservers, and add the 4 new records from WithMe. Do not add them alongside existing ones — replace them entirely.
Wait for propagation — DNS changes typically take 1–4 hours, sometimes up to 48–72 hours. WithMe monitors propagation and completes setup automatically once your domain resolves. No further action needed on your end.
💡 To check propagation status, visit dnschecker.org and enter your domain — green checkmarks mean it's working globally.
After Your Domain Goes Live
Your content, members, and products automatically move to the new URL.
Your old withme.so/yourname link will redirect to your new domain.
You're ready to promote your new domain everywhere.
⚠️ Do not change your WithMe username after your custom domain is set up. Your custom domain is linked to your username — changing it will break the domain connection. If this happens, reverting to your original username will restore it; otherwise you will need to go through the setup process again.
