Migrating from Kajabi to WithMe: your domain, your members and your lessons
Moving from Kajabi? This article covers three questions people ask most: what happens to your domain, how your members get into the new hub, and how to edit lessons after the move. For the full picture of what moves and what does not, see Migrating from Kajabi to WithMe.
Keeping your domain
You keep your domain. Pointing it at WithMe is a short DNS change. We send you the exact steps and check your email settings with you first, so your email keeps working.
Connecting a custom domain needs the yearly subscription. From your dashboard go to More, then Custom Domain, and send the request form.
We email you the DNS records to use.
Before you change anything, we check your email settings with you.
You update the records at your registrar. Once the change has spread (usually within a few hours), your hub is live on your domain.
The full checklist is in Custom Domains on WithMe: Overview and Setup Checklist.
Keep Kajabi running until you have approved the new hub. Your old site stays live until you say so.
How your members get in
Names and emails. Export your People list from Kajabi (People, then Export) and we import it. Members create a fresh WithMe login when they first join.
Access to the right courses. We set it up to match what they had on Kajabi.
Paying members. Card details cannot move between platforms, so we keep their access free until their next billing date, so nobody pays twice. You then send them one link to restart their subscription on WithMe before Kajabi charges them again. We give you the email to send. Keep Kajabi running until your members have moved.
Community comments, likes and member history do not move.
See How to Migrate Contacts from Another Platform to WithMe for the import steps.
Editing lessons after the move
Once your lessons are in WithMe you can edit the text, and replace or remove images and PDFs inside a lesson without recreating it. See How to Edit, Remove, or Replace Images and Media Within Course Lessons.
