Managing Community Notifications
Wondering how notifications work in your WithMe community? Here's what you need to know.
When you publish a new post, community members are typically notified based on their individual preferences. Creator-side controls for outbound notifications are currently limited; members manage their own notification preferences from their accounts. If you need more detail on what is available for your plan, contact WithMe support.
Post Categories & Sorting
Categories help you organize community content so members can quickly find the topics they care about.
Open your Community tab and go to your posts area.
When creating or editing a post, assign it to a relevant category.
Members can then filter posts by category to browse specific topics.
Within a category, posts are typically sorted by newest first. Pinned posts stay at the top regardless of the sort order.
📋 File Uploads, Document Support
You can upload audio, video, images, and documents to your community and courses. A few things to keep in mind:
Audio & video: Upload limits vary. If an upload fails, try compressing the file or reducing the resolution.
Images & documents: Standard formats (JPG, PNG, PDF) are supported. Check the upload area for any file-size guidance displayed there.
WithMe supports uploading standard PDF files for members to view and download. However, interactive features like fillable form fields are typically not preserved; members will see a flat, read-only version. If you need members to fill out a form, consider linking to an external tool (such as Google Forms or Typeform) from your community post or course lesson.
⚠️ Google Docs vs. Google Drive links: A supported Google Doc link must start with docs.google.com/document/. A Google Drive file link (starting with drive.google.com/file/) is not the same thing and cannot be used as a document link. To share a PDF, upload it directly as a file from your device — pasting a Google Drive URL for a PDF is not supported.
Grouping multiple files into one space: Community posts support one media file per post. To collect multiple audio tracks, PDFs, or other files into a single organized space, use the Library — which presents items in a product-like layout inside your community — or a community category, which groups related posts so members can browse them together. Both are recommended over attaching additional files as post comments.
Affiliate & Referral Program
WithMe offers a referral program that lets you earn a 20% commission in perpetuity by referring new creators to the platform. To get started, you must first enable the feature within your dashboard apps:
Click on the More tab in your left-hand sidebar menu.
Locate the Referrals app card and click the toggle switch to turn it on.
Once enabled, a new Referrals tab will automatically appear in your left sidebar menu right below Email Marketing.
Click the Referrals sidebar menu tab, then click the blue Create Referral Link button to generate your tracking URL.
Copy your unique link and share it with other creators to start tracking your passive income.
