🔗 When a link shows as a button
A link only reliably shows as a tappable button in your Auto DM when it is the only link in a short message.
Your link shows as plain text instead of a button if:
Your DM has two or more links.
The link sits in the middle of a sentence rather than on its own line.
Your message is quite long, even if the link is on its own line.
For the best chance of a button, keep your message short and put one link on its own line.
📌 Next post automations
You can set an automation to target Next post instead of all posts or posts you pick. These automations work a little differently:
They only support the comment trigger. Follower-only options tied to other triggers are not available.
Arming one puts it in a waiting state until you publish a new post. An older post you have already published will not link to it.
Once you publish a new post, the automation checks for it and links to the first verified post, showing its thumbnail.
You can trigger the check for your published post yourself rather than waiting.
Pausing a waiting or linked automation keeps its original arming time.
Cancelling waiting takes the automation back to an unarmed draft.
If another automation already uses the same keyword on the post your automation links to, you will see a message asking you to pause the other automation or choose a different keyword.
Duplicating an automation that is waiting for, or already linked to, your next post does not copy that post. The new automation starts as an unarmed Next post automation with no media and only the comment trigger.
↩️ Leaving the editor
When you create or edit an automation, the Back to automations button above the tabs takes you back to your list. Selecting the Automations tab while you are already on it does the same.
Both of these throw away anything you have not saved, just like clicking Cancel. Switching to another tab, such as Overview or Posts, keeps your unsaved fields.
If a save is in progress, you cannot leave this way until saving finishes.
If you get stuck, message us from the chat bubble and we will help.
