With only 7 days to launch, you'll definitely want to start sharing the news with your followers and encourage them to sign up to your waitlist. We've put together this pre-launch strategy to use "coming soon" and "countdown posts" as playful ways to generate buzz and anticipation around the launch.
Setting up your bio
Make your bio as good as it can be as it could be what converts potential clients into paying members. The top tips: be concise, don't be afraid to brag, make clear what you offer, and include a call to action.
Include your link in your bio so that you can refer to this in your stories promoting sign up for your launch waitlist. The users that sign up to your waitlist will automatically receive a code for 20% off their first month once you publish your page.
Here are some page setup examples from @zacharieloiseau_ and @gemmab.slimming...
Social Media Promotion
7 days before launch (or even before)
Content objective - âComing soonâ posts. Announcing the upcoming launch, encouraging comments and conversation.
1 - Coming Soon Stories
A 3-5 story flow ending with an engagement booster, asking if they have any guesses about what's to come (if you haven't already hinted by this point.) Share on your stories a behind the scene video of you:
shooting a video for the platform
editing a video for the platform
talking about 'something' youâre working on that's coming soon
2 - Coming Soon Grid Posts
Caption example:
BTS on set today filming for a very exciting new project that's launching in a weeks time. I've been working on this for months, and I just know you guys are going to love it. More info to follow in the coming days, until then, any guesses?
5-6 days before launch
Content objective - âcountdown postsâ. Launching a social media countdown is a clever way to remind your audience about whatâs coming.
1 - Announcement stories
Create story sequence telling them whatâs coming. One shot to camera explaining whatâs launching on X date, followed by a series of stories about what will be included. Ending with a question box and call to action for people to signup to your waitlist link to receive 20% off their first month!
2 - Announcement post
IG post announcing what is launching.
Caption example:
I'm so excited to finally be able to announce the upcoming launch of my online platform. I've been so excited to share this with you and the moment has finally arrived, with just a few days until launch!
What does my platform offer? From live real-time workouts to a library of on-demand workout videos, this platform will give you access to a huge range of different barre workouts to stream wherever, whenever.
3 - Social media countdown clock
Countdown feature on Instagram starts, allowing people to sign up to the countdown.
3-4 days before launch
Content objective - Community engagement and results. These days are all about showing your followers the value of your work and any testimonials associated.
1 - Client love/ your own journey
With not long till launch this story sequence is about showing your followers the benefit of becoming a member. You can do this in three ways:
Testimonials from followers/clients
Transformation images from clients or your own
Feedback story for repost opportunity
2 - Social media countdown stories
Sharing a photo/video of you working on something to do with the launch, filming/editing/you on your laptop. Promote the link to sign up to your waitlist.
3 - Relevant grid content
Sharing a video that aligns with your platform's offering. Utilising the engagement of this content to thread in a reminder that your online membership is launching in just a few days.
1-2 days before launch
By this time your followers will know something is coming, itâs time to show them what. Giving them sneak peeks of the platform will make it seem more real, and build customer engagement and anticipation.
1 - Sneak peek on your stories
A story sequence that starts with you announcing that you can finally show a sneak peek of the platform, followed by a video of slides sharing a glimpse of what the platform looks like. Promote last chance for your audience to sign up to your waitlist!
2 - Sneak peek on your grid
A reel or IG carousel with a sneak peek of the platform.
