π How to Set Up Membership Tiers & Fix Content Access Issues
Membership tiers are how you control what your customers can see β and what they unlock when they upgrade. Whether you're setting up your first tier or troubleshooting why a registered client can't access your content, this guide has you covered! π―
ποΈ What Are Membership Tiers?
Think of tiers as access levels for your content. Each tier acts like a key β when a customer subscribes to a specific tier, they unlock every product assigned to it. You might have a free tier for your community, a mid-level tier for courses, and a premium tier that includes everything plus 1:1 coaching.
This means you can build one hub and serve multiple audiences β no juggling separate platforms or workarounds! π
βοΈ How to Create and Configure Your Tiers
Head to your WithMe Dashboard and click on "+Add Products" at the bottom of the page.
Click "Membership" and give it a name your customers will recognise (e.g., "Starter", "Pro", "VIP").
Set the price and billing interval (monthly, annual, or both) and other membership settings. See detailed guide here: link.
Under "Included Products", assign the content products (courses, communities, downloads) that this tier should unlock.
Hit Save β and you're live! β
π Note:
A product must be assigned to at least one tier for customers to access it. If you create a product but don't add it to any tier, nobody will be able to access it without separate purchase β even if they're subscribed!
π Troubleshooting: Why Can't My Customer See the Content?
This is the most common question we hear β and don't worry, it's almost always an easy fix! Here's what to check:
1. Is the product assigned to the correct tier?
Go to Tiers, click into the tier your customer is subscribed to, and make sure the product they're trying to access is listed there. If it's missing, add it and save.
2. Is the customer on the right tier?
Check the customer's subscription in your Customers tab. Make sure they're subscribed to the tier that includes the content they need β not a lower tier.
3. Is the customer logged into the correct account?
Access is tier to account with with the members joins the product so they need to log in to the correct account to access the products
β
4. Has the customer logged out and back in?
Sometimes a quick logout and login refreshes their access. It takes just a few seconds but solves more issues than you'd expect! π
π‘ Quick Tips for a Smooth Setup
Test it yourself first β subscribe to your own tier with a test account to confirm everything looks right. Testing takes just a few minutes β but ensures your audience has a smooth, polished experience from day one. π§ͺ
Name tiers clearly β your customers should instantly understand what they're getting at each level.
Start simple β you can always add more tiers later. One or Two is a great starting point!
