Migrating from Skool to WithMe
This guide shows what the move from Skool looks like: what comes across, what you set up fresh, and how to bring your members with you.
The migration is free with the yearly subscription ($300 / £300 / €300 a year), up to 10 GB of files. Bigger libraries are quoted first, and you pay nothing unless you agree. The free migration is not part of the monthly subscription. To see what would move from your Skool account before you commit, ask for a free migration check at switch.withme.so/switch. No card needed. We email you what will move, what will not, and how long it should take, within one working day.
What comes with you
Classroom courses, modules, lessons and lesson text. We pull them from Skool with your login, or from files you share. See Free migration with the yearly subscription.
Videos (original files), PDFs, downloads and audio. Same as above.
Members' names and emails. Export your member list from Skool (Admin, then Members, then Export CSV) and we import it. See How to Migrate Contacts from Another Platform to WithMe.
Members' access to the right courses. We set it up to match what they had.
Your branding (logo and colours), if you send them.
What you set up fresh
Community structure. Community comments, likes and member history do not move, and there is no bulk import of past community posts. You set up your WithMe community channels (free or paid) fresh. See How to Migrate Your Community to WithMe.
Points and leaderboards. Skool's gamification does not move.
Affiliate links. Skool's affiliate program does not transfer. You set up your links again in WithMe.
Email sequences and automations. Automated emails in Skool do not migrate. You rebuild them in WithMe email flows, or buy Done For You. We do not rebuild them in the free migration.
Landing pages and sales pages. You rebuild them with WithMe's page builder, or buy Done For You. We do not rebuild them in the free migration.
Quizzes, assessments, coupons, order bumps and payment plans. Quizzes and assessments do not move. You set coupons, order bumps and payment plans up again in WithMe.
Paying members
Card details cannot be moved between platforms, because Skool's payment system holds them. This is what we do instead:
We import your members' names and emails and give them access to the same courses on WithMe.
We keep their access free until their next billing date, so nobody pays twice.
You send them one link to restart their subscription on WithMe before Skool charges them again. We give you the email to send.
Keep Skool running until your members have moved. Connect your Stripe account in WithMe so you can take payments.
Migration timeline
Free migration: most hubs are ready in 5 to 10 working days from when we start. We send an update at each step: started, any login code needed, and ready to check.
Your Skool community stays live until you approve the new hub. Nothing goes live until you say so.
We ask for your Skool login only when we start, and use it only to download your content. Change your password as soon as we finish. See How to submit your platform login for migration.
Before you cancel Skool
Export your member list (Admin, then Members, then Export CSV).
Download your course videos and assets if you can. Original files make the move quicker.
Screenshot your classroom module structure so you can check it against the new hub.
Check the new hub before you cancel Skool. Announce the move to your members with a transition deadline, so no one loses access part-way through, and cancel only when your paying members have moved.
Done For You is a separate product
Paid Done For You is a separate hub build. It has a 48-Hour Live Guarantee: we build your hub within 48 working hours of a complete form, or we keep working at no extra cost until it is. It also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not happy with your hub, you get a full refund, no questions asked.
Done For You is not the free migration. It builds a hub for you, including landing pages, and it is paid. Done For You Service
