đ What is the apex domain?
The apex domain is your domain without the www in front, like yourname.com instead of www.yourname.com.
Your storefront is already set up to work on www.yourname.com. Setting up the apex domain is optional, and it only helps people who type yourname.com on its own, without the www.
đ§ How to set it up
You can turn on 301 forwarding from yourname.com to https://www.yourname.com at your domain provider. This sends anyone who visits yourname.com straight to your working storefront address.
Open your Custom domain settings from the More menu.
Look for the option labelled Without www and select How to set it up.
Follow the instructions shown to set up 301 forwarding from yourname.com to https://www.yourname.com at your domain provider.
You'll need to make this change at your domain provider, not inside WithMe, since that's where your domain's forwarding settings live.
â Do you need this?
No. Your storefront already works on www.yourname.com without any extra setup. Only add apex forwarding if you want yourname.com (without the www) to also lead people to your storefront.
